unlocked GSM phone for global use?
I am looking for a mobile phone unlocked for my honey and I came across this one: http://www.cellphonefocus.com/products_list.php?cid=105 It can be used in the U.S. really like it said? because it's unlocked, it will work with any GSM SIM card from any country?
I see several Tri-band mobile phone on the side you are on. When Andy W said above, you probably do not want this. You can usually handle frequencies 900, 1800 and 1900 MHz. U.S. GSM providers use 850 and 1900, but often the 1900-band is weak or not available. Go with a quad-band phone (850, 900, 1800 and 1900) to be sure.
